1. Diploma in Teaching English Language & Literature (TVEC Approved)

Teacher Training Diploma courses are exclusively designed for prospective teachers and for those who are currently in the teaching profession. This programme enables the candidates to become effective teachers by improving their English language competence, knowledge on subject matter and effective teaching skills at the end of the course, in their respective fields.

Qualifications: 

      • A/L 2’S’ passes in any stream at GCE (A/L)
      • Professionals currently employed in teaching profession.

Duration : 

      • 1 year (03 months practical training)

Skills can be acquired through the course: 

      • Communication skills
      • Teaching skills.

    

2. BSc (Hons) Logistics & Transport

This programme offers job opportunities as management executives with Airports and Sea Ports, Logistics Companies, Multimodal Transportation Companies, Shipping Companies, Freight Forwarding Companies, Cargo Surveying and Consultancy Agencies, Research Organizations.

Qualifications: 

      • G.C.E A/L (Advanced Level) in any stream with minimum three (3) passes or
      • Any other qualifications accepted by UGC.

Duration : 

      • 04 years with 6 months industry based Job Training.


Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) 

1. B.Ed. (Hons) in English

This programme aims to produce teachers who are competent to teach English Language and Literature in secondary schools including G.C.E Advance Level classes.

Qualifications: 

      • Minimum of three (03) "S'' passes in any subject stream ('English' should be one of the main three subjects) in one and 
      • The same sitting at the GCE (Advance Level) Examination (Sri Lanka/London). And
      • A pass in the aptitude test conducted by the Institute.

Duration : 

      • 4 Years

Job opportunity:

2. LLB (Hons) Law

Liverpool John Moores University’s LLB(Hons) Law Programme offered at SLIIT is a fully franchised UK degree which seeks to transform undergraduates into legal professionals who can compete not only locally but also globally.

Qualifications: 

      • 2 Credit Passes and 1 simple pass in any subject stream at GCE (Advanced Level) Examination, Sri Lanka or London in one and 
      • The same sitting with a Credit (C) pass for English at the GCE (Ordinary Level) examination and 
      • Pass at the aptitude test conducted by SLIIT and the interview conducted by the School of Law, SLIIT.

      • 3 Years
